Julia Goretsky

Julia Goretsky is a New York based singer and actress. Julia was born in Kiev, Ukraine and moved to Southern Californian with her parents as a child. Julia loved to sing and perform ever since she was a little girl and was always drawn to music, art and dance. Julia learned to speak English by watching The Disney Chanel and Nickelodeon after school. Undoubtedly, her favorite shows were The Mickey Mouse Club and Kid Incorporated. Julia made up her mind at an early age that she was going to be a singer/actress just like her idol Barbra Streisand. 


Julia began studying musical theater at Pacoima Middle School’s TV, Theater and Performing Arts Magnet. She then attended the Alexander Hamilton High School for the Arts in Los Angeles. While attending Hamilton, she met and learned from industry professionals and got to perform in multiple plays and musicals. After high school Julia attended Los Angeles Valley College and then transferred to the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine. While in college she stared as Reno in Anything Goes   and as the Leading Player Pippin, as well as many other plays and musical. 


Before finishing UCIrvine, Julia was cast in the national tour of The Producers, which took her across the US and Canada. After graduation Julia performed at theaters throughout California including: Santa Rosa Summer Theater, The Great American Melodrama, and Sierra Repertory Theater. Some of her favorite roles include: Sylvia in The Women, Gloria in Damn Yankees, Lois in Kiss Me Kate, and Betty Jean in The Marvelous Wonderettes. 
Julia moved to NYC in 2011 and continues to act on stages across the country. Recent favorite credits include: Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Emma Goldman in Ragtime, and The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. Julia also spent three years as a lead vocalist onboard the top-rated luxury cruise ship in the world. While singing aboard the Chrystal Serenity, Julia performed with such artists as Christine Andreas, David Benoit, Jonathan Hawkins and BruLee Music’s own Eric Strong. 


A consummate performer, Julia continues to entertain audiences with her cabaret work, and can be seen at NYC venues such as The Duplex and Studio 54. She is so excited to be working with BruLee music and to bring her talents to new audiences.
